The Capybara and the Blue Morphos

This window mural was created for Gabby’s three-panel window as part of the Window Wonderland at the Junction. It is a playful, street-facing artwork designed to activate the restaurant’s exterior and draw people into the space. The mural transforms the windows into a colourful visual moment that feels welcoming, lively, and easy to connect with from the sidewalk.

Inspired by tropical landscapes and summer energy, the composition features a friendly capybara surrounded by vibrant blue morpho butterflies and lush greenery. The imagery was intentionally designed to feel joyful, approachable, and family-friendly, reinforcing the restaurant's casual, social atmosphere while adding a strong illustrative identity to the storefront.

By combining bold colour, character-driven illustration, and natural elements, this Toronto window mural enhances curb appeal and turns the restaurant façade into an engaging extension of the brand. The Capybara and the Blue Morphos blur the line between art and storefront, inviting curiosity, delight, and connection through public-facing illustration.
