Tropical Energy at the CNE
Location: Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto
Client: CNE
Year: 2025
Medium: Exterior paint
Project Type: Public art mural
This mural was created for the Canadian National Exhibition as a vibrant public art installation celebrating summer, colour, and movement. Designed to welcome visitors into the CNE grounds, the mural brings together bold tropical foliage, playful shapes, and expressive lettering to create an energetic visual moment within a highly trafficked public space. This mural was completed in a day, as requested by the CNE.
The composition features oversized leaves and flowing forms that feel joyful, dynamic, and instantly engaging from a distance. Bright pinks, greens, blues, and warm yellows were chosen to reflect the celebratory atmosphere of the CNE while staying true to my signature tropical aesthetic.
Placed within one of Toronto’s most iconic summer destinations, the mural functions as both a welcoming landmark and a backdrop for shared experiences. Tropical Energy at the CNE transforms a temporary structure into a memorable visual experience, inviting visitors to pause, take photos, and immerse themselves in colour during one of the city’s most beloved annual events.
